2 The time has come for a federal master to oversee discrimination against white officers. The pendulum has swung so far in the other direction white officers are being openly discriminated against in matters of discipline and promotional placement.

The detective's promotional list has been re-scored three times to attempt to move enough minorities into promote able positions. The administrator of the test testified to this openly in court. How can anyone believe these tests are fair???

There are many good minority officers, in fact the majority. How sad must it be to always have the stigma of being given your promotion or position because, as the article states we must suspend what is fair. Racism is racism be it white against minority or minority against white.

We continue to allow a few disgruntled and sub standard cops to yell racism every time they do not get what they want. This still continues despite the last and current chief being black. We must blame the Chief for being racist if this is the case.

The BPD is moving in a direction where we will soon be hiring felons as long as they are minorities in keeping in line with the Fire Department.

Let's face it white people will soon be at an end and they have surrendered without so much as a whimper. When they are finally gone who will the disgruntled minorities blame for their own inadequacy?

I feel sorriest for the good citizens of Bridgeport who will get sub standard police assistance to ensure racial diversity in the department. Next time you or one of your loved ones has been victimized remember the suspect may just be in line for a police job. The candidate more realistically will just have a third grade educational level and an I.Q. of eighty.

I am completely for a fair and level playing field, and the Remedy Order probably necessary for years, however this progressive reform, which did and serve it's purpose has been intentionally twisted for borderline if not dead wrong purposes.

Two different issues, the take home cars are a big deal. I pay over $4.00 a gallon for gas, why can't the people who take home cars atleast pay for the gas? It's no secret that these department vehicles are used for personal business. One lieutenant, now a captain installed a baby car seat in his department vehicle. And a D.C. Continously violated policy by having his daughter in his department vehicle. So how do we remedy this we let the
