Defender Industries Wins Contracts

Waterford— Defender Industries has won a contract to supply a new rescue boat to the city of Bridgeport's fire department.

The family-owned Defender also said it has been awarded contracts for a dive/rescue boat and related water-rescue equipment for the city of Phoenix police department and a new rescue boat for the Zelienople-Harmony, Pa., emergency management agency. Defender has filled contracts for more than 50 rescue and dive teams in the past 12 months, many of them for volunteer departments operating on tight budgets. Founded in 1938, Defender Industries is a marine outfitter and supplier of boating equipment, supplies, accessories, apparel, inflatable boats and outboard motors for boaters worldwide.
